In an attempt to outline what may lie ahead, we curated the list of possible advancements tackling the topic of technology having in mind the ever-accelerating rate of progress.

And through exploring the application of artificial intelligence, virtual and augmented reality and changes in significance of renewable energy sources in the technology we hope to give you an idea of what the world is to look like in the future.

1. Artificial Intelligence or AI and its subset, Machine Learning

AI has gone deep into schools and taken a rooted place in every aspect of our lives, personal and professional.

Several industries have also realized AI is able to reshape our relationship with technology and that it plays a huge role in our daily activities.

We have yet to strip the AI capabilities down to their core and let the results of the inaccessible human mind unravel the essence of machines; hence, the future shall bring us even high-risen technological aspirations embodying the AI systems.

A field that is rapidly advancing in the use of AI is the health care sector.. Technologists and researchers are also trying to design the miner algorithms to assist in detecting patterns of chronic disease from the medical database. Also, there is the breakthrough of AI that offers an opportunity to develop the so-called ‘’personalized medicine ’’ helping to determine the appropriate treatment strategy for every patient.

When it comes to the self-driving in the automotive business, AI is expected to reduce a major number of accidents and traffic jams. Because the self-driving cars will learn from the environment they are in and also because they will adapt to any given conditions that are present it will ultimately be safer and efficient way of transport.

2. Virtual and Augmented Reality

Nowadays, virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR) are two concepts that define the closest contact between people and virtual space. Specifically, both VR and AR are changing the ways human exposed and engaged to the media across the entertainment and education, gaming, and many other fields.

Thanks to entertainment, one of the continuously evolving categories of VR applications, the user has the unique opportunity to dive into interactive exciting reality. With the prices gradually shifting downwards and more students having access to the technology will make the use of the VR technology commonly used in learning institutions to provide students with creativity in their learning.

AR technology, however, has already applied in various fields such as healthcare, retail and tourism among others. Since AR is a means of putting information onto physical objects and environments, it is the technology of the future that will shape our everyday life and struggle for dominance in the sphere of our existence in the majority of organizations and companies.

3. RE and Sustainable Technology

Obviously, climate change is a constantly emerging factor, and technology constantly has to adapt to carving a niche to cut our carbon imprints.

Solar, wind, and hydropower will increasingly dominate energy production as countries institute efforts to worry less about fossil fuels.

The diverse components of renewable energy solutions are already cheaper and more efficient than traditional systems and new milestones in energy storage technology are expected to promote improved efficiency of renewable energy. Aside from smart grids and distributed energy systems will be key to controlling and regulating the energy supply.

Sustainable technology is not just about the energy production but concerns technologies that are pro environmental such as; smart waste management system, sustainable water system, environmentally friendly transport system.
